Adult Treatment

Orthodontic treatment is most commonly carried out after the age of 11 – 12 yrs old, when most of the adult teeth are present in the mouth. On rare occasions, a short course of treatment is carried out on younger patients as an interceptive measure where required. Your general dental practitioner should be able to advise you on whether an early referral is required for interceptive treatment.
